Congratulations to our Active School Flag Committee and our whole school community on helping the school earn an Active School Flag which we braised today.
This was achieved by a lot of hard work including organizing events such as Run Around Europe, Active School Week, the School Marathon and Teacher v Students Rounders match, utilising our school walkway for fitness and learning activities, and organising the yard equipment and zones for all classes. We are a very active school promoting physical activity and participation. We also participate in many competitions and excel in some – congratulations to all those who represent the school agus go raibh maith agaibh! We always stress that while it is nice to win – If you do your best you are a winner!
The formal, official recognition of the Active Flag Award is a brilliant achievement for the school and it’s one that the students, staff and community should be very proud of.
