First Class really enjoyed learning about where the food in their lunch boxes comes from. First, they brainstormed all the different foods they have in their lunchboxes. Then they went through a PowerPoint explaining how local farmers provide the food they have in their lunches. Next, they watched some of the Incredible Edible videos on “Meet the Farmer” which were very interesting.
Then, using the iPads they chose five different fruits and vegetables and looked up where in the world they come from. They were surprised how many can be grown here in Ireland.
Finally, they learned about the seven different Incredible Edible Superheroes and had a go at creating their own Incredible Edible Superhero.
