For task 1 the children took part in many enjoyable activities:
Firstly, we discussed the enquiry question of ‘where does the food in your lunch box come from?’
The children then observed an Incredible Edibles PowerPoint presentation which raised talk and discussion. Also, watching videos of farmers around the country growing fruits and vegetables.
Engaging in interactive matching game and completing a lunchbox worksheet- drawing pictures of what they had for lunch and stating where the food originated from.
Finally a superhero art activity- the children came up with a fruit/vegetable grown in Ireland and designed a superhero giving them a name.
