This week we were learning about the Norman invasion of Ireland in History. We also made Motte and Bailey Castles from clay and painted them during our Art lessons.
Motte-and-bailey castles were a Norman fortification with a wooden or stone keep situated on a raised area of ground called a motte, accompanied by a walled courtyard known as a bailey.
