This week we were learning about the Renaissance. The Renaissance was a period from the 14th to the 17th century of European cultural, artistic, political and economic “rebirth”.
We learned about Renaissance Artists such as Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo as well as Renaissance scientist and astronomer Galileo Galilei.
During one of our lessons we taped A4 pages to the base of out desks and drew pictures. It gave us a real appreciation for the ordeal Michelangelo went through while painting the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel.
