Over the month of October, our Junior Infants visited the Costume Shop, and the Potions Lab as part of their Aistear theme Halloween. Some super costumes were brought in and enjoyed by all the children. We learned lots of new words exploring the Costume Shop, and created some poisonous potions in the Potion Lab as Witches and Wizards. Our funky fingers were at work making some Halloween monsters and objects from playdough, and haunted houses were built in our Lego construction area. Mrs. O’Reilly assisted us in learning some new language, as we enjoyed creating puppets, taking turns in games and colouring some Halloween characters.
We attended our first Junior assembly with Mr. Watters, which included classes from Junior Infants all the way up to 3rd class. We recited our poem ‘An Chailleach’ as Gaeilge, and sat quietly to hear news and songs from other classes. Maith sibh!
