Since the start of our new term, second and third class have been reading Roald Dahl’s classic children’s novel – The Twits. This week we have been exploring our novel through drama.
Today we began our lesson with some drama activities and games.
We then had the amazing opportunity to interview the author of our novel – Mr. Roald Dahl! The children were very excited to ask Mr. Dahl about his writing, posing questions such as – Where did you write all of your stories? How many books have your written? What is your favourite book that you have written?
We also had the opportunity to interview a character in our novel – Mr Twit. The children were very curious as to why he never washes his beard and also asked him many questions about his ‘revolting’ wife – Mrs. Twit.
These interviews helped to increase our understanding of the novel and we look forward to our continued reading of ‘The Twits’.
