In science this week, 2nd and 3rd class have been learning about the sun.
We have been exploring the use of solar or light energy in both it’s natural and artificial forms.
Today we conducted an experiment on the movement of the sun. We measured the length of shadows early in the morning and later again in the late afternoon. Here we discovered that our shadows are shorter in the late afternoon as the sun begins to lower in the sky.
We had great fun and interest in this experiment, especially as we have been struggling this week to get a sunny day for us to complete it!!!
Well done to all the scientists in our class this week.
