Our School Walkway has being used in a multitude of ways over the past year.
Morning Walk and Talk
From 8:50 to 9:00 all our students take part in our “Morning Walk and Talk” until the bell rings.
Learning on the Move
Sometimes we take a break from the intensive running and go for a more chilled walk around the track. Thank you to our Active School Committee who have created some learning on the move challenges for us to do as we walk around the track. These include:
- Eye Spy
- Double the Number
- Angles hunt
- Shape hunt
- Create a story
- Riddles
- 20 Questions
- Name countries beginning with the letter
- Chatty walk
- Name 3
- This or That
Maths Jokes created during a Learning on the Move Activity:
- What did the triangle say to the square while they were arguing? You’re missing the point
- I had an argument with an angle. Turns out it was right.
- Why was the Maths book sad? It had a lot of problems.
- Why was the obtuse angle depressed? Because it was never right.
- What did the circle say to the octagon? You’re very edgy.
- Why should you stand in the corner if you’re cold? Because it’s 90 degrees.
- To the person that invented 0, thanks for nothing.
